Easy Sailing

I was asked a question last night about my experience of the disturbing states I used to experience 'Do I still have them?'. It really struck me; I had to really think about whether I did or not!

Over the last three years, everything has continued as normal, in fact, I would say that some negative thoughts and emotions have raged more than ever before, however what has changed is my belief that they have any power over my well-being whatsoever. By taking short moments of clarity, repeated many times, it has become unavoidably obvious to me that my stability is found in the natural presence of awareness rather than in the constantly changing flow of points of view.

As this becomes more and more my experience, the impulse to focus on and describe disturbing states has just loosened up - so firstly they don't hang around as long, they resolve spontaneously, and secondly I barely notice them when they do appear. There simply is just nothing of interest to look at.

Wow!

I am really grateful to have been asked this question and to have had the opportunity to reflect on my disturbing states. It is in seeing how far we have come since being introduced to clarity that we can really see the powerful benefit of short moments.

Life really can be easy sailing!

Sending immense love to all,
Kat
